Creating Intrepid Itineraries Without Sacrificing Comfort or Style

Travel With a Purpose

From the very beginning, our goal has been simple: create extraordinary journeys that benefit both the traveler and the destinations visited. We believe that travel can be a force for good, fostering deeper understanding while supporting conservation and local communities.

People Are At The Heart Of Every Journey

The most memorable travel experiences are shaped by the people you meet along the way. That’s why we partner with the very best local guides, conservationists, lodges, and hospitality professionals who bring each destination to life while creating meaningful connections across cultures.

Thoughtfully Designed Travel

Travel is a significant investment of time, money, and anticipation, and we don’t take that responsibility lightly. Our role is to make the process seamless and worry-free while crafting immersive experiences that inspire awe and create memories that last long after you return home.

Why Travel With Moraway Adventures?

Our Kind of Travelers

Our travelers are curious, thoughtful adventurers drawn to the world’s most extraordinary places. They value authentic experiences, meaningful connections, and a deeper understanding of the people, wildlife, and cultures that make each destination unique.

They prefer depth over checklists, quality over quantity, and journeys that leave a positive impact. With seamless planning, exceptional guides, and extraordinary access, they can focus on what matters most: being fully present in the experience.

 Chris Moriarty

Chris Moriarty

Founder and CEO

Chris developed his love of Africa and native culture while living in a remote Namibian village for two years while teaching in the U.S. Peace Corps. From the jungles of Uganda to the Kalahari desert, he has traveled to the far corners of the African continent on numerous private and self-guided safaris.

He holds a Master’s Degree in International Development from the Korbel School at the University of Denver. International travel, conservation and community development have shaped his life and formed the basis of his core values.
Chris’s enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge and experience designing customized transformational travel opportunities to Africa led him to start Moraway Adventures.
Outside of travel, he enjoys climbing mountains, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and trail running throughout the Rockies. Chris is also a member of Bozeman Sunrise Rotary in Bozeman, Montana.
 Alexis Alloway

Alexis Alloway

Co-Founder and CMO

Alexis got her first taste of international travel climbing 19,000-foot volcanoes in Ecuador and was instantly hooked on the thrill of exploring new cultures, ecosystems and landscapes. Her passion for adventure and conservation led to a 15-year career leading wilderness expeditions for the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in the Canadian Yukon, the Alaska Range, Patagonian Andes, Baja Mexico, the Indian Himalaya, and more.
With a degree in Environmental Studies, Alexis has always been interested in the relationships between humans and nature. Some of her most profound experiences include feeding carrots to Sudan (the world’s last male Northern White Rhino) in Kenya, holding the world’s smallest chameleon on her fingertip in Madagascar, and standing mere feet away from a mountain gorilla in Rwanda.
Alexis believes in the power of travel to transform lives, create connections, boost rural economies and protect threatened species. She looks forward to helping guests experience the adventures of a lifetime while making the world a better place.
